Chapter 3 - Akira

PANTRY

Risa : I’ll tell you later alright.I cant think now Aya.

Aya : just call me if you need anything alright?

Risa : Will do.

Risa hung up and placed her phone on the table.She stared at the drink the office girl prepared for her and she didn’t even know what to do now.Her mind to be in frozen state that nothing can be digested at all.

Risa : What do you mean I have to be with Kaname all the time (face palm)

Karin : Risa?

Risa turned around quickly when she heard Karin’s voice from the door frame.

Karin : Can I talk to you?In my office?

Risa : (nodding)

KARIN’s OFFICE

Karin: I apologize for what Kaname had done to you yesterday and I am sorry that you had to stay here untll he finished his work.So that he can send you home.

Risa : I still cant get the rationale of doing all of this though

Karin :Its like this. The last time something like this happened,it doesnt not end up nicely.

Risa : It had happened before?

Karin : yes.

Risa : What happened,if I may ask?

Karin : Yes of course.Kaname’s ex fiancé left him because she cant stand the attention she gets from the press and others.She was in other way,mentally pressured by everything.She broke of the engagement and left him.

Risa : What happened to her?

Karin : After Kaname announced that he is engaged to her.The press somehow got to know where she lives and they managed to discover every single details about her.She was fine at first,but things got out of hands when there were a third person who worsen the situation.So,that is the time when everything went bizarre and I was not here to help Kaname.I was in California that time and when I came back to Japan.Kaname is not even Kaname.

Risa looked at Karin and said nothing.

Karin : therefore,don’t worry .I am not gonna let that happen to you and to Kaname.These media sure love to mess up with the wrong person (annoyed)

Risa : I don’t even read them.I mean these kinds.

Karin: But my instinct tells me,you are not like other girls.Wait,how old are you?

Risa : Im 23 this year

Karin : You..are 23 this year? I thought you just finished high school..

Risa : he said the same thing.

Karin : So…I hope you help me in this?Just until this news eased and probably until another hot story pops out.

Risa : And how long would it usually take?

Karin: maybe 2 or 3 months?

Risa : And you want me to be with Kaname,all the time.for 2 months?

Karin : If you can…because if you expose yourself too much.They might do something to you.

Risa : What kind of things?

Karin : They might just ambushed you while you are just taking  stroll at the park.My myself has 4 body guards when I am out of my office.(laughing)

Risa : What a circle.

Karin:Who says its easy living in this circle Risa.Nothing is easy once you stepped into the spotlight.

Suddenly the intercom on Karin’s table made a sound and suddenly a voice was heard from the speaker

Iida : Karin-sama,Ishikawa Akira is on his way to your room.

Karin : Alright noted Iida.Thank you.

Suddenly there was a knock on Karin’s door and Karin asked to come in right away

Karin : Come in Akira,the door is not locked.

Risa turned around when she heard the door is opened .A man in black suit walked in and Risa thought she had never seen someone like that .Tall and lean,broad shoulder but not too broad. Hair nicely gel to the back and everything about him is neat.His combination of plain white shirt and plain blue tie makes him looking even more decent and neat.

Karin : My documents?

Akira smiled at Risa first then he handed the white envelope to Karin.

Akira : Nice dress you have there Karin.

Karin : Your comment is not helping you get laid for sending this late Akira.And oh yes,meet Risa.Okumura Risa.Risa,this is my cousin,Ishikawa Akira.He is from the Account department.

Risa stood up and look at  Akira and she was a bit stricken by how good looking is Akira that she said nothing when Karin Introduced him to her.

Karin : Risa…?

Risa : Oh my god I am sorry.Okumura Risa-des*bows

Akira : Ishikawa Akira,nice to meet you (smiles)

Karin : Don’t ask me why is she here.

Akira : Okay,so why is she here?

Karin : You are so annoying Akira (annoyed)

Risa: …. Can I go now?

Karin : Yes yes.I think Kaname is done with his meetings.

Akira : She is..?

Karin : She is Kaname’s girlfriend you idiot.

Akira : How did Kaname manage to get such a pretty girlfriend (confused)

Karin : Stop flirting Akira.

Akira : I am not.Shall I walk you to his office?

Risa : No thank you.

Risa left the room quickly before Akira could say anything and Karin laughed when Akira looks speechless after Risa closed the door.

Karin : That’s the thing I like about her.Nothing works on a girl like her Akira.Not even your flirting skill.I mean your rusty flirting skills.

Akira : (smiles) Watch me Karin.Im already interested in her.

Karin : She is Kaname’s girlfriend.

Akira : And you think I   don’t know whats been on the news ?(lifting his eyebrows)

Karin : (sigh)

Akira walked towards Karin’s table and sat on the table.He placed the newspaper infront of Karin and point at the headlines.

Akira : What do you think these media get paid for?

Karin : I hate the media(rubbing her head)
