Chapter 15

ISHIKAWA RESIDENCE

Kaname parked his car in front of the main big door and Risa was still trying to hide her shock of looking at how big is the house in front of her.

Risa : (looking around)

Kaname got out from the car and gave the keys to his driver whom was standing at the stairs.

Driver : Welcome back Kaname-sama(bowing)

Kaname :There is bag inside my car,take it and put it in my room.

Risa : (getting out of the car)

Driver : Right away,Kaname-sama.

Risa saw the driver and she bowed a little when the driver bowed at her.

Kaname : What are you waiting for Okumura?an invitation card?

Risa : (rolling her eyes)

KANAME’S ROOM

Risa : Why am I in your room again?

Kaname : Why?You don’t want to see your boyfriend’s room?

Risa : What?

Kaname : You want to go to the guest room? No,I wont let it.What kind of boyfriend let his girlfriend alone in a guest room.

Risa : (pissed off)

Kaname leisurely takes off his coat and loosen his tie before sitting on the edge of his king sized bed.

Risa :What is life now (rubbing her head)

Kaname : Don’t be a doll and stand there not moving.Do anything you want just don’t make a mess and disturb my stuffs

Risa : What do you expect me to do in your room Ishikawa-san?(annoyed)

Kaname : Make yourself useful?

Risa : What do you mean?

Kaname took of his tie and walked straight towards Risa.

Kaname : Well,it depends on how you want it.

Risa : (confused)Im going out.

Kaname : Where do you want to go?

Risa : Anywhere except here.

Before Kaname could even respond,suddenly somebody knock on his door for a few times .The door swung opened and Mia came barging in

Mia : Welcome home love birds!

Risa : Love..what?

Kaname : She is all yours Mia.

Mia : Come here Risa.Everyone is here to get you all ready for tonight’s special dinner!

Mia swiftly took Risa’s hand and pulled her out from Kaname’s room.Mia closed the door and turn to Risa

Mia : Never in my life I see Kaname bringing up girls to his room (winks)

Risa : He is drunk.(annoyed)

Mia : Im serious.Anyway,come,lets go to Karin’s room!

KANAME’S ROOM

Kaname was sitting at the edge of his bed,spacing into space thinking about Risa’s reactions when he brought her up to his room.He laughed when he remembered the look  on Risa’s face when he mentioned the word “boyfriend “ to her .

Kaname : What is wrong with me anyway (rubbing the back of his neck)

KARIN’S ROOM

Risa walked in to the room to find that it was filled with shoes and make up kits on the table.And there is several men and women in the room,and all of them are looking at her.

Mia : So,which one first?

Risa : (gulps)

NEXT DAY

Kaname was sitting on his chair,looking at then outside through the windows.He still has his coat on and he didn’t even bother taking it off after arriving at his office.Risa on the other hand,is in Karin’s room since Karin insisted that she go to her room after Kaname fetched her from her house.

Kaname : I need to get use to this anyway .

KARIN’S OFFICE

Karin : Everyone is talking about you Risa!

Risa : Why me?

Karin : Yesterday?Or you cant remember anything?

Risa : Not planning to remember.Or I remembered is how hard was it to walk in that black dress

Karin : (laughing)

Risa : …

Karin : Anyhow! I’ve talked with others.And discussed on your case . I think its okay to let you free on weekends. The press seems to like what happened yesterday so I doubt there will be any bad news coming out.Good ones perhaps.But we cant let you linger around alone on weekdays.Press is everywhere, especially the city of course.

Risa : I get to stay home on weekends?

Karin : Yes.I hope you are safe that’s all.

Risa : It wont be a problem at all Karin.

Karin : Anyway,did you tell Kaname about you and America?

Risa : Not planning to.

Karin : waiting for the right time to smack him with the facts eh?

Risa : You read my mind.

Karin : I hope it works.He’s too dumb anyway.

Risa : Dumb you say.

Karin : So,are you free to help me do more sketches…?

Risa : Im all yours Karin.

Chapter 14 -Cakes

CAFÉ

Risa sat across Kaname at the table and Kaname did the ordering.He didn’t even ask Risa what she wants at all.Risa just sat there looking at Kaname being Kaname.

Kaname : That’s all.

Waiter : Thank you (smiles)

Risa : (blowing her hair)

Kaname turn to Risa and look at her.

Risa : If you are trying to search for ideas to mock me,try again.

Kaname : You don’t have to go back home,you’ll get ready at my place.

Risa : What?

Kaname : The dinner starts at 7 at Ishikawa Hotel and Suites.I’ll call the saloon people to come over my house to do your hair.

Risa : (looking at her long hair)

Kaname : Don’t ask me anything.Blame Karin for this.

Risa : I can tolerate with that.

Kaname didn’t say anything after that and he kept looking at the people outside of the café while Risa on the other hand kept staring at him

Risa : Don’t you just feel weird looking at yourself Ishikawa-san?

Kaname : (turning to Risa)

Risa : Yourself.

Kaname : Why the sudden question?

Risa : You look like you’re not good with people.

Kaname : I don’t

Risa : That explains.

Kaname : …..

Risa : Don’t you go out with you friends?

Kaname : Why are you asking me these kind of questions.

Risa : Why cant I? I saved your reputation.

Kaname : What are you trying to do?

Risa :I am just talking.You have not seen anyone doing this?

Kaname : What?

Risa : TALKING.

Kaname :…

Risa : So,don’t you go out with friends?

Kaname : No.

Risa : Not even the other guys?

Kaname : You mean Isane and Akira?

Risa : Or them,yes.

Kaname : no.

Risa : Your life is boring.

Kaname :What does got to do with you

.

Risa : It has nothing to do with me.Im just trying to say that your life lack of colors.Its dull and all grey.Grey is sad.And not everyone can stand sadness .

Kaname stared at Risa,not knowing how to react to her precise words,describing his life all these years.

Kaname : What do you know about sadness?

Risa : Everyone been through phases of life Ishikawa-san. You cant be selfish and think you are the only one who has to face sadness.Everyone has gone through the same thing.

Kaname : What about you?

Risa :I asked you first.

Kaname : You talk to much.

Risa : Rather than being like a living corpse,I rather talk.

Kaname : Oh really?

Risa  Yes.So,let me ask you again.Dont you go out?

Kaname : I seldom go out.

Risa : All about work?

Kaname : Not really.

Risa : Don’t  you go out for drinks?Movies?

Kaname : Not really.

Risa looked at Kaname with such a sadistic look

Risa : you are such a sadist.

Kaname : What?

Risa : Sadist.

Kaname : What is a sadist.

Risa : (pointing at him)

Kaname : Me?

Risa : You.

Their conversation was interrupted when the waitress came to their table to serve their drinks and cakes Kaname ordered for both of them.

Risa : (looking at the cakes)

Kaname : Don’t tell you are a sadist too.

Risa : Even sadist eats cakes (annoyed)

Chapter 13

CAFÉ

Aya : Whats his name again?

Risa : I-sa-ne.Ishikawa Isane.

Aya : Sounds wow to me.Whats with this company anyway.

Risa : I don’t know.

As they both were talking,suddenly Mia walked in went straight to the counter to order.

Myu : Konbawa Mia-san(smiles)

Mia :My usual please (smiles)

Myu : Eh! Meet our new owner !(gesturing Mia to turn around)

Aya : (smiles)

Mia : Oh yes,Ohara did mention about a new owner! Nice to meet you..?

Aya : Nakazawa Aya-des(smiles)

Mia : Nakazawa-san.Im Ishikawa Mia.

Aya : Ishikawa?(surprised)

Aya turned around to look at Risa whom are busy minding her own business.

Mia : Eh? Risa-chan?

Risa : (turning to Mia)

Aya : You both know each other?

Mia : Yes yes of course we do!

Risa : Mia-san?

Mia : I was searching for you actually

Risa : Im sorry,I was bored so I went down here.

Mia : Kaname knows?

Risa : No.

Mia : (laughing)

Risa : Is there anything I need to do?

Mia : No no,nothing.Im just going to take you out to prepare for the dinner tonight.But,wait,you guys know each other?(looking at Aya and Risa)

Aya : She’s my childhood friend(smiles)

Mia : Really!?

Risa : Yes.

Mia : What a small world…

Risa : So,I need to follow you?

Mia : Yes yes,but wait let me pay for my drink first.

Aya : No no,its okay.Its my treat today (smiles)

Mia : Eh?

Myuu : (smiling)

Mia : Are you sure Nakazawa?

Aya : Yes .My treat (smiles)

Mia : Thank you so much!!

Risa : Where are we going?

Mia : You might want to wait for Kaname’s call (laughing)

Kaname : What call?

All of them suddenly turn around to look at Kaname whom just walked into the café .Kaname was looking straight at Risa and Aya just rolled her eyes when she saw that.

Mia : How did you find us here?

Kaname : Well,it does not matter.

Mia : Alright alright,shall we make a move now?Oh anyway Kaname,meet this café’s new owner,Nakazawa Aya.

Aya : (smiles)

Kaname : New owner?Nice to meet you Nakazawa-san.Ishikawa Kaname-des.

Aya : Nice to meet you too.

Mia : She’s your girlfriend’s childhood friend(winks)

Kaname looked at Aya and Risa with such a surprised look.

Kaname : That’s such a coincidence.

Mia: Okay now,lets go??

Kaname : I get my car.

Risa : (sigh)

Aya : Good luck!(whispering to Risa)

All of them walked out of the café leaving Aya alone in the café with the other workers.Myuu suddenly went up to Aya and eyed them too.

Myuu : Aya-san… did Mia just say that your friend is Kaname’s girlfriend?The one in the papers?

Aya : You saw them too?

Myuu : (nodding)

Aya :Well,papers are always right I guess.

Myuu : hmm hmmm..

BOUTIQUE

The boutique is located at one of the malls own by the Ishikawa Groups. Each of the family members has the special card where they can just use that card to shop there instead of using cash. So,usually all of them would just shop there instead of anywhere else.

Eri : Welcome Mia-san!(smiles)

Eri is one the workers in the boutique. The boutique specialized on special events dresses and that’s why Mia brought Risa there. The manager,Mami is one of Mia’s friends and she usually handles the special orders from customers.

Mia : Is Mami in?

Eri : She went out not a while ago.

Mia : Oh its okay then! Anyway,meet Risa.Okumura Risa.

Eri : (bowing)

Risa : Nice to meet you(smiles)

Kaname : Just make it fast.

Mia : Can you like get her a black night dress?

Eri: Only black or you want black with other color?

Mia : Is all black okay Risa?

Risa : Only black?

Mia : All black then.Alright,you sit here okay Kaname.Dont go anyway.Im gonna go to the toilet for a while.I’ll be right back!

Mia took her handbag and walked out of the boutique ,leaving Kaname and Risa with Eri in the boutiquw

Mia : Im such a bad cousin (laughing)

Kaname was sitting on the couch located in the middle of the boutique while Risa is just standing there looking at Eri picking several black dresses for her.

Risa : I never like dresses (sigh)

Kaname : Koyomi-san is not in?

Eri : She went to fetch her daughter for a while.She’ll come back.

Kaname : Just pick one Eri.

Eri : we must let the lady choose among these!Okumura-san,why not you try this one first?

Eri handed Risa a long body hugging black dress with a slit on both sides.The black dress is made out of soft sain material with pearls around the neck.Risa thought that she would rather die than have to wear that one.

Risa : Its so revealing…(speechless)

Eri : Or this one?

Eri showed Risa the second black dress.It is the usual night dress,its high waister and the top of the dress is made out of glitter material with a simple gold lining around the neck.The bottom part is made out of silk satin so that it gives such a volume to the dress.It has bat sleeves made out of net material and Risa thought it would be better compared to the other one.

Eri : Try is first?

Risa : Alright.(hesitating)

Eri showed Risa to the big white fitting room and asked her to press the button once she is done.The fitting room is all white with a bright light on every corner of the walls.It is one beautiful fitting room Risa thought.

Risa : What kind of a fitting room is this anyway…(confused)

Kaname on the other hand just minding his own business and he just watch all the passers by walking outside the shop to kill his time.

Eri : Whats with you Kaname?

Kaname : Nothing.

Eri : Where did you find such a charming girlfriend ?(winks)

Kaname : Somewhere.

Eri :You and your “somewhere”. Risa seems to be such nice person.

Kaname : You think?

Eri : I have good eyes remember? And I am married.A married woman has gooooood instincts.

Kaname : You are your instinct.

Eri : It’s always right.

Kaname : I hope this time.

Eri : Im always right Kaname.Dont tell me you still hopes on Haruka

Eri is quite close to Kaname since they have known for almost 9 years.Eri is now 32 years and she is married to one of the Ishikawas.Which makes her,a Ishikawa too.Kaname is close to Eri and Koyomi because two of them are like sisters to him

Kaname : Can we not talk about this.

Eri : (laughing) As you wish old mannnn.

Eri went to the fitting area to check on Risa because its been a quite a while.

Eri : Okumura-san?Is everything okay in there?

Risa : aaaaa… I need help.

Eri waited for a while until Risa finally opened the door and walked out from the room.

Risa : I cant seem to reach the zipper at the back (worried)

Eri : Come here,let me help you.(smiling)

Risa turned around so that Eri can help her with the back zip.RIsa hold her long hair up so that it would make Eri’s job easier.When Eri is done,she let down her hair and turn to face Eri.

Risa : So..?

Eri : Oh my god it fits perfectly!

Risa  turned around to look at the big mirror and when she saw herself in the mirror,she gulps.

Risa : Are you sure about this….

Eri went to Risa and pulled her to the showroom area where Kaname is sitting.

Eri : Kaname look!

Kaname whom were looking at the floor,lifted his head up when he heard Eri’s voice.He flinched a little when he saw Risa in that black dress,looking very elegant and different in a  way she looks very very professional.Kaname hids his surprise and showed her a straight face.

Kaname : Change to another one.

Risa : Hah? What?Are you crazy?

Kaname : Eri,find another one.

Eri : you don’t like it.

Kaname : Just let her try another few dresses.

Risa : (glaring at Kaname)

Eri : Alright then,wait here while I’ll go pick a few more!

Risa turned around to walk back to the fitting room but then suddenly she tripped over the carpet and just her luck,somebody was fast enough to catch her.

Risa closed her eyes as if she knew she was gonna hit the floor when she lost balance a few seconds ago.But then,suddenly she felt her waist being grabbed and she was pulled by someone.She quickly opened her eyes to see Kaname staring down at her with his right hand  around her waist.Risa was so speechless that she cant find her voice and neither Kaname.None of them moved until Eri came and let out a sinister cough.

Eri : Ehemm.I know you guys are so attached together but Kaname,would you please let Risa choose a dress first?

Kaname :oh yes..Im sorry.

Risa looked at Kaname with such a blank face and she wanted Kaname to take his hand off but she don’t know what happened to her voice that time.

Kaname : What?

Risa :..your..hand?

Kaname realized that his hand is still around Risa’s waist that he quickly pulled his hand and stepped back.

Kaname : I didn’t mean to..nevermind.Go and change.

Risa let out a sigh before following Eri back to the fitting room.

Eri : This dress you would need me to help you with it.So don’t worry alright.

Risa : Thank you so much.

Eri : Can I call you Risa?

Risa : …yes why not(smiles)

Eri : Risa-chan,what do you think of our Kaname?

Risa : (shocked)

Eri  : No,its just its been a while since Kaname is seen with a girl.I know what happened alright.Dont worry.

Risa : Does all Ishikawas knows about the incident.

Eri :That’s Ishikawa family’s policy.If you are a Ishikawa,nothing gets left behind.

Risa : ….

Eri : So,hows everything so far?

Risa : (sigh)

Eri : He is annoying?

Risa : How do I put this,he is like annoyance,then you multiple it with infinity.

Eri : (laughing)

Risa : : But I think…

Eri whom was helping Risa with her back zip stopped and she turn Risa around.

Eri : You think?

Risa : No its jus a thought that’s all.He seems to be hiding something.

Eri : Hiding?

Risa : Well,look at him.One second he is nice,well not so nice to me.The second he is like the devil from the deepest hell.One more second he is stoic.And another second he is like a devil in disguise.

Eri : (looking at Risa)

Risa : Nevermind,just forget it…So how do I look?

Eri looked at Mika from top to toe and suddenly Eri shakes her head.

Risa : I look ugly?

Eri : No no no.(laughing)

Risa : I look fat?

Eri : I like the previous one better.This one makes you look normal.

Risa : So,Im abnormal?

Eri : : no no no.Its just I love the previous one better (nodding)

Risa turned around to face the big mirror and she twirl around to have a better look of herself in that dress.

Eri : I’ll call Kaname?

Kaname : I like the previous one better.

Risa and Eri quickly turn to Kaname’s direction and both of them were shocked to see him leaning on the big door frame,looking straight at Risa.

Risa : (speechless)

Risa was quite speechless and worried too.Who knows he might have heard everything she told to Eri.

Kaname walked straight at Risa and stopped a few steps infront of her.

Kaname : (looking at Risa)

Risa : So?

Kaname : Try the previous one again.

Kaname turned around and left the dressing room,leaving both Risa and Eri dumbfounded.

Eri : Kaname is just being Kaname (smirks)

Risa : Alright,so where’s the dress?

After trying the dress again,Kaname agreed and asked Eri to pack the dress while he waits at the showroom.Risa sat at the chair near the counter,trying to arrange her messy hair and she was unaware that Kaname was looking at her all the time.

Risa : Whats with this hair anyway (pissed off)

Kaname  cant help but laugh looking at Risa struggling to comb her hair using her fingers since she left her comb at home.

Eri : Now,where did Mia go?

Risa: Now that you mention it…

Suddenly Kaname’s phone rang and it was Mia.

Kaname : Where are you?

Mia : I am so sorry!I have to rush back home since Isane asked me to do something.So,I leave Risa to you alright!bye!

Mia hung up before Kaname could even respond.Kaname looked at his phone and let out a sigh.

Risa : Is she coming?

Kaname : no.

Risa: No?

Kaname : No.

Risa : What do you mean no?

Kaname : I’ll send you home.

Risa : No thank you.

Kaname : Im sending you home.

Kaname went to the counter and took the big paper bag with Risa’s dress in it and walked straight to the main door.

Kaname : Are you planning to sleep  here at the boutique Okumura?

Risa : (sigh)

Kaname walked ahead of Risa and Risa just tailed behind him as he walks around the mall.Suddenly Kaname came to a halt but Risa didn’t realize she was already ahead of him.She stopped and lifted her up to find Kaname is not infront of her.Risa looked around and she turned around to see Kaname standing infront of a café.

Kaname : We’ll dine here.

Risa : Hah?

Kaname ignored Risa and entered the café.He didn’t even bother to wait for Risa whom are so confused and lost by his sudden actions.

Risa :Can I just kill him.

Chapter 12 - Cafe

COFFEE CAFÉ

Risa : What?

Aya : I bought this café (winks)

Risa : (confused)

Aya : I am not joking.

Risa : How did this--

Aya : I was talking to the previous owner since last week. So here I am.

Risa : And you didn’t even tell me?Seriously you bought this!?

Aya : It was a good deal.The owner is moving out of Japan and I called him at the right time.Well,I’ve told you Ive always wanted to run a café.

Risa : But ..but this is too sudden.

Aya : Nothing is ever too sudden Risa (winks)

Risa : I had to many surprises for now (rubbing her head)

Aya : More to come?(lifting her eyebrows)

Risa : Your mother knows?

Aya : She’s the one suggested .She’ll be coming here later.

Risa : The fact that your mother learnt about coffee and pastries ..it makes sense now.

Aya : And now now now.Look at the bright side.Im sure your boyfriend would allow you to hang here?

Risa : Who cares.Anyhow,what about the workers?

Aya : He left all of them to me.Which is like 6 of them. 3 of them are well trained baristas so I don’t have to worry. 2 of them loves baking.Another one can handle all the arrangement. No w,I need to settle the agreements and everything.

Risa: Its so sudden I need more time to digest.

Aya : I met them earlier.Well,I can still remember their names.The 3 baristas over there,the one with piercings is Shinji,the one with the green bandana is Sho and the last one is Aoi. Trust me,all of them are 24.I feel so young but don’t tell them Im 23. And,the cashier,as you can see is Myuu. The other two whom the ones doing the bakings and everything is Megumi and Yuuki.

Risa : Sounds like a good manager to me.You remembers all their names already.

Aya : I need to be extra friendly to them.First times are always so nerve wrecking.

Risa : Anyway,no free drinks for me?Im thirsty.

Aya : I know you would ask that.

KANAME’S OFFICE

Mia : eh?

Kaname : What?

Mia : (looking around)

Kaname : What?

Mia : where is Risa-chan?

Kaname : I don’t know.

Mia : (glaring at Kaname)

Kaname : I don’t know

Mia : You are such a bad boyfriend Kaname.

Kaname : I am not even her boyfriend

Mia : Whatever.For now you are.We need to go find a dress for her and do her hair and make ups and everything.Call her.

Kaname : (looking at Mia)

Mia : Call her?

Kaname : Call?

Mia : Don’t tell me you don’t even have her phone number..

Kaname : I don’t

Mia : (sigh)

Kaname : Ask from Karin.

Mia quickly takes out her phone and called Karin.

Mia : Karin?

Karin : yes yes yes?

Mia : Can you send Risa’s number to Kaname?

Karin : HE DON’T EVEN HAVE HER NUMBER!?

Mia : You can kill him later.

Karin : Tell him to not come home tonight.

Mia : I will.

Karin : I’ll send it to him right now.

Mia : Thank you!*hungs up

Kaname : Why must you send it to me?

Mia : Because you are her boyfriend.

Mia walked towards the door and before opening the door,she turned around to face Kaname.

Mia : I’ll wait at the lobby.

Chapter 11

20^TH FLOOR

Risa was walking towards the entrance of the office,she used the access card Karin gave to her when they first met.That card is similar to all the staffs cards there.She can access every place in the office and the building too,especially the lift area.

Makino : Good Morning Okumura!

Risa : good Morning (smiles)

Makino : Kaname-sama was searching for you actually.

Risa : Is he in ?

Makino : He left about 10 minutes ago but he said he will be back.

RIsa : Okay thank you…

Makino  : Just call me Makino (smiles)

Risa : Makino-san,thank you again (smiles)

Makino : you are welcome!

Risa headed towards Kaname’s office and she didn’t even bother to knock before going into his room.

KANAME’S OFFICE

Karin : Risa!!!!

Risa : Karin?

Karin  was sitting on Kaname’s chair and she was actually waiting for Risa the whole time.

Karin : Oh my god,you cant imagine how I worried I was.Are you alright?

Risa : Did something happened?

Karin : No no,nothing happened.How are you today?

Risa: Healthy as always..?

Karin : Anyway,have you seen Kaname?

Just before Risa could respond,Kaname opened the door to his room and walked in.

Karin : Where did you go.

Kaname : No where.

Karin: I want you to take Risa to the boutique. Go to our mall instead.Get her dresses for the upcoming events.Do it today and no excuses.I cancelled all meetings for you and Im taking over everything.

Kaname : Why are you not following?

Karin : I asked Mia to follow you.

Kaname : Mia?(annoyed)

Karin : Or you want me to ask someone from the other office?

Kaname : Mia is fine.

Karin : Risa,we have a dinner attend tonight and I hope you don’t mind about me asking you to accompany Kaname tonight…?

Risa : Accompany him?

Kaname : (looking at Risa)

Karin : Can you can you?I cant join him tonight since I need to head home straight after my meeting.

Risa : Alright.

Karin : Great!

Karin stood up and went straight to Kaname.

Karin : Don’t be so hard on her Kaname.Remember where you stand.(tapping on his shoulder)

Karin : I’ll take my leave for now.See you both anytime soon!

Karin left the room leaving Kaname and Risa alone in the office.RIsa went straight to the couch and took her drawing book and a pencil.None of them talk at all.

Kaname : Where did you go?

Risa : (ignoring)

Kaname : Like I care anyway.

Risa : (drawing)

Kaname sat on his chair and look straight at Risa.Risa was not even looking at him and she seems to be ignoring him,all the way.Kaname felt a bit guilty for uttering all the words to her when they were in the car.But he don’t know how to start the conversation.

Risa : Whats with you staring at me like that.

Kaname : (snapped out)

Risa : Never seen someone drawing before?

Kaname :Have you eaten.

Risa: Not hungry.

Kaname  : Its breakfast time.

Risa : I’ve eaten.

Kaname : Good then.

They both dropped the conversation and stayed silent for a while.Kaname loosen his tie and let out a sigh.

Kaname took out his phone and started making himself busy with his work.While Risa on the other side kept herself busy drawing and the room was quiet,really quiet.

After  a while,Risa closed her drawing book and stood up.She went straight to the door to leave the room.

Kaname : Where are you going?

Risa didn’t even answer and she just left without saying anything.

Risa : So annoying.

Risa looked at the big office and she kept admiring the neatness yet homey feeling of the big office.Risa didn’t know where to go since she can only linger around the office that time.Karin is busy with her work and everyone seems to be busy with their work.

Risa : Im doomed.

Risa walked towards the pantry and took a seat at the bar table facing the big windows.She just sat there watching the blue sky and suddenly her phone rang

Risa : Hello?

Aya : Hello!!

Risa : Whats up Aya?

Aya : Just checking on you.

Risa : It’s just 10 and Im already dying of boredom Aya.(annoyed)

Aya : (laughing)

Risa : I can be sick like this.Everyone in here is so workaholic.

Aya : Well,it’s a corporate building Risa.What do you expect.Hows your so called boyfriend?

Risa: I hope he rots.

Aya : Is he that bad

Risa : He is annoying,you multiple that with infinity.

Aya : That bad…

Risa : Yes that bad.But,we’ll see.

Aya : Don’t do crazy stuffs Risa.But does he know you are bilingual?

Risa : No.

Aya : He don’t know about you ?

Risa : Oh god,I feel so at ease now. When are you starting?

Aya : Well,you can get your coffee now Risa (laughing)

Risa: Are you kidding me?(speechless)

KANAME’S OFFICE

Kaname was on the phone when Karin came into his room and sat  infront of him.Kaname asked Karin to wait for a while before he ends the call.

Kaname : Yes?

Karin : Im not gonna ask where is Risa.You don’t even know where.So,have you decided what to wear tonight?

Kaname : One more thing Karin.

Karin : What?

Kaname : I just a call from Osaka’s Office.

Karin : And?

Kaname : I need to head there next week.

Karin : And?

Kaname : Ichirou is not here to assist me since he went to Italy for 2 weeks.

Karin : And?

Kaname : Who’s going to accompany me?

Karin : (laughing)

Kaname : What?

Karin : It seems that you’ve forgotten about your girlfriend eh?

Kaname : Whats with her?

Karin : take her with you then.

Kaname : (shocked)

Karin : Yes,why not?

Kaname : This is a business matter Karin.Not a honeymoon what so ever.

Karin : Take her first and you’ll know.

Kaname : Don’t be silly Karin.

Karin : What do you know about your girlfriend?

Kaname : What should I know?

Karin : What you need to know.(winks)

Kaname : Can I just ask Akira to --

Karin : Akira is taking care of his department Kaname.Trust me,take Risa with you.

Kaname : We don’t know anything about her Karin.

Karin : Its you who don’t know anything about her Kaname.Its you and only you.

Kaname : What do you mean?

Karin placed both of hands on the table and look at Kaname.

Karin : Its all up to you to find out.Who ask you to be so all bloody manly shits.Thats why Risa dislikes you.

Kaname : I don’t see where is this conversation  going.

Karin stood up and stares at Kaname.

Karin : You are going to take Risa with you.It will help the media to stop writing about you on the papers Kaname.Trust me.

Kaname : (annoyed)

Karin: And that’s final.

Chapter 10 - Rooftop

NEXT MORNING

Risa is ready very early and she even eaten her breakfast made by Junna .She was putting on her usual shoes on when she suddenly heard a car sound infront of her house.She quickly stood up and took a look.

Risa: Its very rare to  have cars passing by this area early in the morning though.

Risa bid Junna goodbye and she went straight to the gate and locked it.Risa looked around to check if the driver is there to fetch her.She double checked every corner and saw no sign at all.She was already all geared up when she found out that Kaname did his part;asing the driver to stop fetching her.

Risa walked slowly,breathing the morning air and as she was about to take a turn to the street,she saw a black car parked at the side.A tall man,dressed neatly in a complete suit is leaning on the black matte car and he was looking straight at her.

Risa : (shocked)

Kaname:Good Morning.

Risa : Why are you here?

Kaname : Get in.

Risa : What?

Kaname : Get in.

Risa : In your dreams.

Kaname : Don’t make a scene.

Risa : Who’s the one making a scene here?

Kaname : you.

Risa looked around and saw many pedestrians walking at the streets and her urge to quarrel with Kaname died when some eyes are already looking at the.

Kaname went to the passenger side and opened the door .

Kaname : Last call Risa.

Risa let out a long annoyed sigh and she had no choice but to get into the car.

Risa : Don’t call me Risa .

Kaname’s mouth curved a sinister smile as Risa obediently got into the car and he closed it for her.

Kaname : Good Girl.

Kaname went to the driver seat and got into the car.

Kaname : Now,don’t make any noise while I drive to the office.

Risa : Whatever.

Kaname : And I am doing this because of Karin.Dont think of anything else.I don’t even want to waste my beautiful mornings fetching you.

Risa didn’t even respond to Kaname’s words.She just ignored him and look out at the windows.

Kaname : And don’t think about even telling Karin I told you this.

Risa : (ignoring Kaname)

ISHIKAWA BUILDING

Kaname parked his car at his personal parking spot and Risa in flash got out of the car without even waiting for Kaname.They were early that nobody was even there at the parking spot.

Kaname quickly got out and called out to Risa.

KAname : Where are you going?

Risa didn’t even respond because she was so so angry about everything that Kaname said to her in the car.She felt so belittled by somebody worthless and she tried to hold her anger back by not even looking at Kaname

Risa : I hope he rots (annoyed)

Risa went straight to the lift and quickly pushed the “up” button.

Kaname eyed Risa as she went into the lift and he didn’t even  move an inch.

Kaname : (sigh)

ISHIKAWA MAIN OFFICE

Kaname walked into the office looking very presentable as usual.He was searching for Risa but she was nowehere to be seen at all.

Makino : Good Morning Kaname-san(smiles)

Kaname : Morning.Have you seen Risa?

Makino : Risa? Oh you mean Okumura-san?No ,she came with you?

Kaname : Yes she did.

Makino : She haven’t come in.

Kaname : Alright,thank you (smiles)

KANAME’S OFFICE

Kaname placed his suitcase on his table and look around if Risa is at her space.She was not even there and that realization made him worried

Kaname : Where did this woman go

ROOFTOP

Risa was leaning on the grill barrier at the rooftop.Rooftops had always been her favorite escape when she feels like shouting her lungs out.The rooftop of the building is unlike other rooftops she seen in America.This one is quiet empty but there is several benches and flower pots.It was ample enough for her.Plus,it was quite windy that morning.

Risa: Breath in Risa.Breath in.Just another 57 days and you’ll be free.

Risa was unaware that there is someone lying down on the wooden bench not far from her.The person heard Risa’s babbling that he removed the book on his face and turned to Risa’s direction.

Risa : is he even a human anyway .Whats with this guy (annoyed)

The guy leaning on the bench was already half way towards Risa when she kept babbling her annoyance towards Kaname.Risa didn’t even realize about it because she was too indulged in her babbling.

Isane : I suppose this man must has annoyed you so much?

Risa stopped babbling right away when she heard a voice from behind her.She quickly turned around to see Isane smiling at her with a book in his right hand.Isane’s hair were a bit messy probably because of the wind or the fact that he was asleep on the bench just now.He’s wearing a simple white shirt and a black leather vest,the usual ones where men wear underneath their coat.He looked neat even he is not even trying Risa thought.

Isane : Good Morning Okumura(smiles)

Risa : …….Good morning…..

Isane : I see you’ve found the way to the rooftop.

Risa : It was not hard.

Isane : Welcome to the roof top(laughing)

Risa : Were you here earlier?

Isane : Im always here as a matter a fact.Every morning.From now on.

Risa : Reading?(pointing to the book)

Isane : Oh yes yes.Reading a novel

Risa : (nodding)

Isane : So,what brought you here up to the 25^th floor?

Risa : Probably just finding a space to babble and getting some fresh air

Isane :You got your senses all right Okumura.The rooftop is always the best place for an escape don’t you think?

Risa :…

Isane : So,did you come with Kaname.

Risa : Yes.

Isane : interesting…

Risa :What are you reading anyway? IM sorry,this sounds random.

Isane : An English novel by Murakami.

Risa : You read Murakami?

Isane : The English version usually.It helps me English.A lot.

Risa : I see..

Isane : Do you read novels?

Risa : Murakami is my favorite .

Isane : (looking at Risa)

Risa : I think..I better get going.

Risa bowed before turning around to walk straight to the exit door.Isane on the other hand just eyes her as she disappears from his sight.Isane smiled as he watch Risa’s black hair being blown by the strong wind.

Isane : Such an interesting woman indeed you are Okumura.

Chapter 9

KARIN’S OFFICE

Karin : What do you mean by that Kaname?

Kaname : I mean like,she cant stay in my office the whole day for the next 60 days/

Karin : You were the one who insisted that she stays there instead of mine.

Kaname : Its just--

Karin : Its just what?

Kaname : Forget it.

Karin : You need to take good care of her until I find who took that photo.Dont let any of these media people get to know about her personal life.Never.Dont let Risa end up like Haruka,Kaname.Dont let that happen

Kaname : (speechless)

Karin : I know mentioning Haruka’s name is a bad turn but you need to know.I cant let you lose your senses and throw things apart again.One time is enough Kaname.Risa is never going to end up like Haruka.

Kaname : I swear to you,I will protect Risa no matter what but don’t you think its hard for her to stay in my office?

Karin : Is your choice that day!(sigh)

Kaname  : What about weekends?

Karin : Its up to you.I would suggest she live with us but I  know that would be hard for her.

Kaname : (sigh)

Karin : And if you have forgotten,we have many dinners and events to attend next week.And you would need to get some matching attire with Risa.

Kaname let out a sigh and he suddenly spot a drawing on Karin’s table.It is a drawing of a simple vase with little flowers on the bottom,full of flowers.It is a very beautiful drawing he thought.He went closer and pick the drawing up.

Kaname : Where do you get this?(observing the drawing)

Karin : Somebody drew it for me.

Kaname : Who?

Karin : You’re girlfriend (smiles)

Kaname : She can draw?(shocked)

Karin : She’s very very good at it.

Kaname is still looking at the drawing and he cant seem to take his eyes off the drawing.

Karin : Anyhow,I suggest that you allow her to linger around the office.Dont keep inside that stuffy office all the time.Take her anywhere.Let them see you with your girlfriend. The media only wants to challenge you Kaname.Thats their target.

Kaname : (sigh)

Karin :Well,but who knows they might predict the future…(winks)

KANAME’S OFFICE

Risa was in the room alone,she was sitting on the couch with a novel in her hand.Karin lend it to her to kill her boredom.Risa kept sighing because she cant stand it anymore.She needs to do something else instead of being in the room,doing nothing.

Risa : And it’s just the second day.And I have another 58 days to go.What is life now..(annoyed)

Suddenly the door to Kaname’s room swung opened and Kaname walked in.Risa saw the plastic bag Kaname is carrying but she ignored him and continues minding her own business.

Kaname : Good Evening.

Risa : Evening.

Kaname placed the plastic bag on the coffee table beside Risa and walked to his table.

Kaname : That’s for you.I hope that kills your boredom.

Risa : (looking at the plastic)

Kaname : And I hope you wont disturb me again

Risa : Whatever.

Risa rummaged through the plastic bag and saw 5 drawing books and 2 boxes of drawings pencils and a box of erasers.

Risa : Whats with all these?(confused)

Kaname : Karin told me you like to draw so make yourself occupied.

Risa : …okay

Kaname  : Youre welcome

Risa : THANK YOU (annoyed)

Risa :What time can I go back?

Kaname : When I tell you its time.

Risa : Im going back by my own.Dont you dare ask your driver to send me home.

Kaname : My driver is not going to send you home.

Risa : That’s great!

Risa took one drawing book and a pencil from the plastic and starts to draw.

Kaname : I am going to send you home.

Risa  stopped drawing and lifted her head up.

Risa : What?

Kaname : (smiles)

ISANE’S ROOM

Isane was not even doing any work because he’s been busy reading the novels he bought recently .But,this time,his mind is quiet occupied by the thoughts of having to meet Risa. He smiles as he remembered how Risa randomly addressed Kaname as uncle. He had never met any girl whom can speak like that to Kaname.But yet,he was more concerned about Kaname.Never in his life he saw Kaname talking freely like that to the opposite gender.He was not even like that when he was dating Haruka.

Isane : You are definitely something Risa.Definitely.(laughing)

PARKING

Risa : (looking at Kaname whom are already in the car)

Kaname : Get in.

Risa : No.

Kaname : I said get in.

Risa : No.

Risa turned around and headed towards the lift.Risa hoped that no one would see her stomping her way out to the lift,running away from Kaname.Kaname on the other side,went out from the car and called out to Risa.

Kaname : Where do you think you are going?

Risa : Home.

Risa didn’t stopped at all when Kaname asked her that,she pressed the “ up” button and waited

Kaname : Suits yourself.

Kaname get himself back into the car and drove away without even looking at Risa.

Risa : Why do I have to meet such a bloody man in my life.(sigh)

After getting herself back at the lobby,she walked straight to the lobby entrance and exited the building.She kept looking around just in case Kaori would see her here.She would be a dead meat if Kaori caught her here .It was already dark outside and the streets are beginning to crowd with people going back home from work

Risa : Finally,lifeeeee(inhaling deeply)

ISHIKAWA’S RESIDENCE

Karin : WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU LET HER GO BACK ALONE!?

Kaname : Can you not shout?

Karin : You let her go back alone?!(angry)

Kaname : She was the one who wanted to go back alone.

Karin couldn’t let her anger ease down at all when she got to know Risa went back alone.Karin was so outraged that she stomped her way to Kaname and slap him.

Karin : If anything happen to Risa.ANYTHING.I wont forgive you Kaname.

Kaname was taken aback with the sudden reaction from Karin when he told her that Risa went back alone.

Kaname : (rubbing his cheek)

Karin : Have you lost your senses!?

Kaname : Why are you so worried Karin?

Karin : Why am I so worried you asked?

Kaname : Its not like she is that important or anything.

Karin : One more time Kaname.One more time you talk like that about the girl who saved your reputation. I’ll tell --

Kaname : Stop it.I got it Okay.

Karin : Don’t talk to me till I feel like to.

Karin turned around and went up the stairs. Kaname could hear Karin’s slammed her door closed and he let out a long sigh after that.

Kaname : Probably on her time of the month I guess (rubbing the back of his neck)

Kaname removed his tie and went straight to the garden and sat on the chair.He placed his tie on the table and leaned back.

Kaname : I don’t even know why I didn’t follow her actually..(sigh)

OKUMURA RESIDENCE

Risa : (removing her shoes)

Junna : Welcome home Risa-chan!

Junna had her apron and she was holding a spatula in her right hand when she welcomed Risa home

Risa : Kaori is not home yet?

Junna : She is!She came back earlier just now.She is already finishing her second bowl of my miso soup (smiling)

Risa : You made the special miso soup…?

Junna : (nodding)

Risa : KAORI DON’T YOU DARE EAT IT ALL!!!!

Risa quickly ran to the kitchen and didn’t even bother to close the door behind her.

Junna : These kids…(laughing)

NIGHT

RISA’S BEDROOM

Risa : This is..tiring..

Suddenly she heard her door being knocked and she knew it was Aya.

Risa : Don’t even bother knocking Aya,get yourself in.

Aya : Konbawa!!!!!

Risa: (combing her hair)

Aya : So so so so so so???

Risa : So..what?

Aya : What happened between you and your boyfriend today?

Risa : He annoyed me the whole day.is he even a human

Risa : a basket full of annoying traits.Anyway,what are you doing here?

Aya :Im sleeping over here.

Risa : Really?

Risa : You know where to get all the stuffs.So like per usual.

Aya :No,its just.I thought of finding a job.

Chapter 8

KANAME’S OFFICE

Kaname is taking a short break after spending hours looking through all the papers and plans scattered all over his table. He leaned backward on his chair and rubs his forehead.He was so tensed that he didn’t get his mind free for even a second.He suddenly remembered the times he spent with his ex fiancé,Haruka. He really misses Haruka he thought but a part of him is mad that Haruka left him,but another part wishes for Haruka to come back to him.And start over.

Kaname : You are the only woman I can love Haruka.The only one.(sigh)

Kaname’s thoughts were cut off when he heard a knock on his door.He quickly gathered he senses and straighten his back before asking the person to come in.

Kaname : Come in.

Mia : Im here to give you this!

Mia placed a white envelope on his table and look at him

Mia : God,you need to get married.Really.(looking at Kaname’s messy table)

Kaname : Whats with the sudden notion?(confused)

Mia : I mean look at you.So…messy.

Kaname : Okay,that’s enough.

Mia : Seriously Kaname.Everything happened for a reason.

Kaname : (confused)

Mia was already half way to the door but then she stopped and turn around.

Mia : There is a reason why she came here Kaname.There is always a reason for everything.

Mia closed the door before Kaname could even respond to her words.Kaname looked at the closed door and he finally realized what Mia meant.

Kaname : (speechless)

PANTRY

Risa was sitting on the bar,not doing anything but stares at the white wall.

Risa  : I can die of boredom here.If not for this stupid uncle,I would have ran away earlier (sighs)

Suddenly Risa remembered that Karin asked her to just get anything from the pantry if she is hungry,she eyed the pantry and saw a box of Rocky. She tiptoed to get it but then as she was reaching for it,somebody else walked into the pantry.

Isane :Do you need help?

Risa was too shocked to  hear Isane’s voice that she suddenly tripbutbefore she could fall on the pantry’s floor,Isane was fast enough to  catch her waist and pulled her to him.

Isane : Are you okay?(shocked)

Risa was still taken aback because everything happened too fast and she didn’t realize that Isane’s hand is still around her waist and the other hand is holding her hand.If not for Isane’s  hands,she would have collapse on the floor because her mind is not even working at all.

Risa :….

Isane : Okumura?

Isane was looking straight at RIsa and none of them moved.

Risa : Oh my god(shocked)

Isane : (looking at her)

Risa quickly stepped back and  rubs her forehead

Risa : I am so so so sorry.Really,I didn’t mean to jump or fall.Wait,nevermind.But ,I am really sorry .I am sorry you had to …you know..catch me (worried)

Isane : (laughing)

Risa : ….. (confused)

Isane : You are funny Okumura. Its my luck anyway.

Risa : …luck?

Isane : Anyway,you were reaching for this right?

Isane took the Rocky box and handed it to Risa.

Risa : (looking at the Rocky)

Isane : Yes..?

Risa : Oh yes,thank you so much

Isane : No problem at all(smiles)

Isane went straight to the fridge and took a can of coffee.He then turned around to face Risa,again.

Isane : May I ask why are you here alone?Arent you suppose to be with Kaname?

Risa : I rather be with a dead cow than having to stay with him all the time (annoyed)

Isane : (laughing)

Risa : Wait,I didn’t mean it that way.

Isane : Sure you did (laughing)

Isane took a seat at the opposite site of the bar table and opened his drink.

Isane : So,I supposed Kaname forced you into this?

Isane stood and smiled at Risa before leaving the pantry. Risa was left speechless  and she didn’t even move an inch after the conversation ended.

Chapter 7 - Akira

KANAME’S OFFICE

Risa was already bored just by looking at Kaname going through the papers,signing each of them.Kaname didn’t even talk to her for the past 45 minutes,he was too indulged in his work and he seems to be very very dedicated to his work.

Risa has he own space at the corner of the office.Karin set up a small space so that Risa can have her privacy threre. Risa took a peek and saw Kaname is still doing his work.And she realized that Kaname had his coat off and his tie loosen up from his neck.

Risa : Am I gonna stay here for the next 6 hours?

Kaname : yes.

Risa : Can I go out for lunch?

Kaname : No

Risa : Are you going to let me rot here?

Kaname : Yes.

Risa : (annoyed)

Kaname : I’ll ask Ichirou to buy you something.

Risa : (sigh)Whats the point again…

Kaname : (focusing on his work)

Risa went out from her space and walked towards Kaname.She look at Kaname and Kaname didn’t even realize until it was a while she stood there.

Kaname : (looking up)

Risa : Don’t you ever take a break.

Kaname : What?

Risa : Your shoulders are all tensed up.

Kaname : I don’t take breaks.

Risa : That sucks.

Kaname : What do you know about work.You don’t take breaks .

Risa : Whatever.

Kaname : (sigh)

Risa : Alright,please take a break.Its disturbing to see you all tensed up.

Kaname was confused with the sudden act of Risa that he stared at Risa,looking a bit confused and lost.

Kaname :What do you want?

Risa : I have a proposition to make.

Kaname : What?

Risa :A suggestion.

Kaname : What suggestion?

Risa : Since I am going to be stuck here for 60 days.Why not we just be cool with each other? I mean like,break the walls and just be normal? My head is all tensed up not talking and I felt like I was being eaten up alive by the hell.Thisis definitely the place I dislike.

Kaname : ….

Risa : Seriously Ishikawa.You have to help me here.I cant stay silent for the whole 10 hours.Im not you.

Kaname put down his pen and looked at Risa with a straight face.

Kaname : What do you want me to do?

Risa : Let me go out?

Kaname : I said no.If you go out,you wouldn’t know who is out there,trying to get every details about you and will ruin your life in a blink.

Risa : Ishikawa Kaname,I am not a child and let me go out.

Kaname : No.

Risa : (staring at Kaname)

Kaname looked at Risa and somehow she reminded him of Haruka.Kaname was taken aback for a while that he suddenly stopped moving and kept looking at Risa.

Risa : you are such a dumbass.

Kaname : What did you say?

Risa : A dumbass.

Kaname : I dare you to repeat that

Risa: A dumbass.

Kaname : Don’t make me--

Risa : Make you what? Throw me out?I would love it.

Kaname : What does girls like you know anyway

Risa : One thing about guys like you,you look down on people so easily.No wonder anyway.

Kaname :I don’t look down.Its true,I don’t even know where are you from,where do you live and  trust me I don’t want to know.

Risa : Like I will waste my saliva to tell you that.

Both of them didn’t realize that on the other side of Kaname’s door…

Ichirou : Eh,they stopped?

Makino : I think they did…

Ayumi : Wait wait…

All four of them had their ears glued to the Kaname’s door, eavesdropping Kaname and Risa quarreling and four of them were so focused that they didn’t realize there were someone  standing behind them

Isane : (coughing)

All of them quickly turned around and were shocked to find Isane smiling at them.

Makino : (panicked)

Ichirou : Isane!

Isane : Is Kaname in?

Ichirou : yes yes.he is

Isane : May I?

All four of them backs away to give a way to Isane.Isane leisurely walked towards the door.Isane knocked twice on the Kaname’s door before twisting the knob to open.

Kaname : What do you mean I have no inspirations?

Risa : Your books in here is all not my taste,so why can I go out and have fun?

Kaname: In case you have forgotten Okumura Risa,you have got the title of “ Ishikawa Kaname’s girlfriend” So act like one

Both of them didn’t realize Isane was already in the room,not until Isane let out a cough and both of them turned to Isane’s direction.

Isane : Is this a bad time?(smiling)

Kaname : (shocked)

Risa :….

Isane cant help but to realize that the black haired lady he bumped into yesterday is standing infront of him but he hides he surprised by acting normal despite him wanting to ask why is she here,in Kaname’s office.

Kaname : Isane??

Isane : is that how you welcome me back?

Kaname let out a small laugh before walking to Isane to give him a quick man hug he exchange a hand shake with Isane.

Kaname : Karin didn’t tell me you are back from Italy.

Isane : I asked her not to.

Kaname : When did you arrive?

Isane :2 days ago actually.

Kaname : And you are already in the office?

Isane : What else should I do at home?

Kaname : Take a break Isane.Dont be too harsh on yourself

Isane : Looks who’s talking?(smiles)

Kaname : So,any plans for lunch?

Risa : Wy do I feel ignored..(whispering to herself)

Isane : And this is?(looking at Risa)

Kaname : This is….

Isane : I think we bumped into each other yesterday?

Risa turn to look at Isane and she suddenly remembered that he was the guy she saw when she was at the lift yesterday

Risa : Oh yes,we did(smiles)

Isane : I am Ishikawa Isane(smiles)

Risa was a bit taken aback by how charming is Isane when he smiled at her.But she quickly snapped out of it and gather her senses.

Risa : Okumura Risa des(bows a little)

Isane : So,what makes you here Okumura?

Risa :(thinking)

Kaname : As  a matter of fact,she is somebody here.

Isane  : I wont believe you if you say she is your girlfriend,Kaname .

Risa : Never in my 9 lives.

Isane : (laughing)

Kaname : What did you say?

Risa : I said “ Never in my mightly 9 lives I’ll be your girlfriend”

Kaname : You better stop talking or I--

Risa : Or what?(glaring at Kaname)

Isane : (looking at both of them)

Kaname : Just drop it.

Risa : (rolling her eyes)

Isane : So,it seems like you owe me an explanation here,Kaname.I am free for lunch.Would you care to join us Okumura-san?

Risa : Im fine here.I rather starve than have to eat at the same table with this uncle.

Kaname : Uncle?(shocked)

Isane cant help but to laugh when Risa randomly addressed Kaname as “uncle” and the look on Kaname’s face was priceless when Risa said that.

Kaname : What did you just call me?

Risa : You heard me.

Risa turned around and heads towards the door.She opened the door slowly but she stopped halfway and turned around

Risa : Nice to meet you Ishikawa Isane(smiles)

Isane : My pleasure,Okumura-san (bowing a little)

Risa closed the door behind her and let out a sigh.

Risa : What a contrast though.

Karin whom were about to get into her room stopped when she saw Risa leaning on Kaname’s office door.She turned around and walked towards her.

Karin : Risa? Why are you standing here?

Risa : Oh,there is an uncle babbling non stop here so I escaped.

Karin : Uncle?

Risa : Yes Uncle.And old uncle

Karin : You mean Kaname? (laughing)

Risa : Who else?

Karin : Oh my god you both are so cute.Alright,let him be.Come,lets hang out in my office.I need some idea so why not you help me out???? If you don’t mind?(smiling)

Risa : I would love to (smiles)

KARIN’S OFFICE

Karin : (opening her door)

Akira : Karin!

Karin was surprised to see Akira sitting on her couch in the office and Akira quickly stood up when he saw Risa came in together with Karin.His face quickly brighten up when he saw Risa and he swiftly tighten his tie before walking towards them

Akira : We meet again Okumura-san (smiles)

Risa : (smiles)

Karin : What are you doing here?

Karin went straight to her table to put all the papers she was holding in her hands properly on the table.She slumps herself on her leather chair and look at Akira.Risa on the other hand took a seat at the one-seater couch which is the opposite side of where Akira is standing.

Akira : I am here to give this (showing her the pendrive)

Karin : Oh yes ,I almost forgot!

Risa : (looking at both of them)

Karin : anything else?

Akira : So,Okumura-san. Where are you from?

Karin : (annoyed) Akira,stop flirting will you?

Akira : I am being nice here.I am not flirting.

Risa : I am from here.Tokyo I mean.

Akira : How old are you?19?

Risa : seriously 19?

Akira : You look 18 or 19 to me

Risa : (laughing)

Karin : I thought you were 19 too.

Risa : I am actually 23.

Akira : Are you kidding me?

Risa : NO.

Akira : Are you working? Studying?

Risa : None.

Akira : Eh?

Karin : Now that you mention it.What are you doing now Risa?As in,in this time around?

Risa : Staying at home,leisurely.Doing nothing.

Karin : Are you staying alone Risa?

Risa : No.

Akira : With your family?

Risa : Yes.

Akira : Interesting… would love to chat more with you anytime soon Okumura-san. Do tell me when you are free,I’ll bring you out(smiles)

Karin: Get out Akira.

Akira : Whattt? I am being kind here.

Risa said nothing when Akira offered to take her out and she just watched as Akira left the room,leaving only Karin and Risa in the office.

Karin : Risa! Come come,sit here(poiting at the chair infront of her table)

Risa : Yes…?

Karin : It may sounds weird but I know so little about you.

Risa : (confused)

Karin : I mean like,I only know your name and age and how you got into this trouble.(laughing)

Risa : Ohh… what do you want to know?

Karin : About your family?

Risa : I have one older sister,Kaori.And my parents.And that’s all.

Karin : Only two of you in the family!?

Risa : (nodding)

Karin : Is your sister working?

RIsa : yes.

Karin : Where,if I may ask??

Risa : Here.

Karin : “here”? wait,here!?

Risa : I mean not in this office.She’s working in this building.She has her own law firm. Not exactly hers.Her colleges and all.

Karin : 10th floor?

Risa : (nodding)

Karin : Oh my god,your sister is working at the law firm.What a small world… and what about you?

Risa : What about me?

Karin : Something about your eyes says that you are not this typical Tokyo girl.To me and no I didn’t mean it in the bad way.Tell me about yourself Risa.

Risa : Well…I finished high school and I hope you can tell Kaname that (annoyed)

Karin : first thing when I see him (laughing)

Risa : I went to America when I was 18,studied there for almost 5 years.Just got back like a week ago and here I am now.

Karin seems to be having  hard time digesting the simple words that came out from Risa’s mouth.She stared at Risa without blinking and her mouth were left open.

Risa : ….?

Karin : You studied in America….

Risa : Yes,for 5 years.

Karin : Oh my god..what course did you take?

Risa  : Business and--

Karin : Business!!? Are you kidding me!?Wait,what ..did you just say and?

Risa : And… Arts and Designs.

Karin : (surprised)

Risa : (smiling)

Karin : Double degree?

Risa : Yes.

Karin ; And you studi

Risa :….yes..

Karin : Oh my god,Kaname should know with whom is he dealing with (laughing)

Risa: oh well,this does not matter after all.

Karin : I have to say this but I am very very surprised and I just have to congratulate you for finished your degrees. And you are only 23 years old. And Im very very ..how do you say.. thrilled!

Risa : ……

Karin : I can actually ask you to work with the company right away with no interviews.You are so so over qualified for almost all the jobs here.

Risa : Ichirou said the same thing..

Karin : Eh? So you met Ichirou?

Risa: Yes.

Karin : It’s a good thing that you met Ichirou.He is the only one Kaname can depends on at the office.Anyway! Do you have a boyfriend?

Risa : Not anymore?

Karin : Wrong question I guess..

Risa : Im over it.So its fine I guess.

Karin : Actually…I really really want to thank you for helping me,Kaname and everyone out. It may sounds weird but we shall try our best not to let the media know you.I mean anything detailed about you.I hope things stay as it is for the next 2 or 3 months.

Risa : (nodding)

Karin : (looking  at Risa)

Karin : You told me you took Arts didn’t you?

Risa : Yes

Karin : Well,well.Would you love to help me?
