NEXT DAY

Kaname arrived in front of Risa’s house as early as 8 a.m and Risa was already waiting outside of her house.There is no point going on her own because she’ll get stuck in the congested train either way,and all she will get is Kaname babbling about the harm she might get if she go out alone without his supervision.

So,she decided to let Kaname pick  her up and send her home,but it depends. Risa plan on not letting Kaname send her home that day.

Risa : You are late.

Kaname : Get in.

Kaname was about to get out of his car but Risa quickly stopped him and pushed his door back.

Risa : Don’t move.

Risa slammed his door closed and quickly go to the passenger seat.She got in and closed the door by herself.

Kaname : Whatever you want Risa.

Risa : (blowing her hair)

Kaname drove off without saying anything else. Risa on the other hand just stare at the windows,observing whatever that they passes through while on the road.

Kaname : We have a wedding to attend tomorrow. Karin will get everything prepared for you.

Risa : Where?

Kaname : At the Tokyo Hall.

Risa : Do I have to try more dresses and shoes?

Kaname : Yes.

Risa : (sigh)

Kaname : You have another 50 plus days.Bear with it.

Risa : Has the news ease down?

Kaname : I don’t even know.

Risa : Don’t you read the papers?

Kaname : I only read the business magazines.

Risa : Your life is dull.

Kaname : Before you go on babbling about how dull is my life,next week you would need to follow me to Kyoto.

Risa whom were staring at the windows quickly turn to Kaname with a shocked face.

Kaname : Kyoto,one week.

Risa : Wait,why me?

Kaname : You’re my girlfriend?

Risa : Shut up.Why Kyoto?

Kaname : I will be having a conference there with the other share holders. You would need to be my date for the whole one week.

Risa : Why would you need a date?

Kaname : Karin said so.

Risa : aaaa,cant said no indeed (laughing)

Kaname : Is this even funny.

Risa : Despite you being so ego and mean,you can never go against Karin.

Kaname : Is that even a valid point.

Risa : More valid that your irrational statements.

Kaname : Statements?

Risa : I have the ring in my bag.remind me to return it to you.

Kaname : I asked you to keep it.

Risa : Why should I keep it?

Kaname : Because I asked to.

Before realizing, they have arrived at the parking lot. Kaname was already halfway out of the car when Risa actually knew it.She was still dumbfounded but she quickly gather her senses and get out of the car

Risa : (getting out of the car)

Kaname : You go up first.I need to make some calls.

Risa went straight to the lift without even bothering to reply to Kaname.Kaname on the other hand was watching her as he was waiting for Karin to answer his call.

Karin : Yes?

KAname : She agreed to follow.

Karin  : That easy?

Kaname : No.

Karin : She didn’t say yes did she?

Kaname : She pointed out the fact that I can never go against you.Are you happy now?

Karin : (laughing)

Kaname : I don’t think this is funny Karin.

Karin: It is ,very!

Kaname : Are you upstairs?

Karin : Yes I am.Just arrived actually.Where is she now?

Kaname : On her way up to the office.

Karin :Alright,I’ll meet her later.Are you coming here as well?

Kaname : I need to see Akira and Isane first .

Karin : Don’t fight.Dont think Im stupid not to know what happened yesterday .Bye!

Kaname just shook his head when Karin hung up on him after saying that.He put his phone in his pocket and lean on his car.

Kaname : Why am I being so protective anyway (rubbing the back of his neck)

ROOFTOP

Risa was sitting on the bench near the small garden, not doing anything but staring into space.

Risa : I doubt today is gonna be a good day.(sigh)

Suddenly her phone rang and she quickly look at the screen of her phone.

Risa : Unknown number?

Risa quickly tap on answer without any second thoughts.

Senri : Risa?

Risa : (shocked)

Senri : Hello Risa,are you there?

Risa : Se..Senri?

Senri : Hello,I apologize if Im calling you this early.Are you up to anything right now?

Risa : No,not at all.

Senri : Good,where are you now?

Risa : Workplace?I mean,Im at my workplace.

Senri : Do you have any time off for lunch?

Risa : I am not sure.

Senri : How about this,I thought of having lunch with you.How about I come over your workplace?

Risa : aaaaa,oh yes sure.Im working at a café anyway.

Senri : Now that is great,we could just dine there?

Risa : Sounds great to me.

Senri : I’ll see you at lunch time .

Risa : Alright,just give me a call if you have arrived.

Senri : Wait,I forgot to ask.Which café again?

Risa : The café in Ishikawa Building,the one at the lobby.

Senri : Oh that one! I know that place.Alright,I’ll come around 12 noon?

Risa : 12 noon.Alright.

Senri : See you Risa .

RIsa : See you too,Senri.

Risa waited until Senri finally hung up and she let out a sigh when she finally realized she was talking to her crush actually. She never thought about it and she didn’t even expect Senri to show up again. Not while her life is in a bloody mess she thought .

Risa : (sigh)

Isane : Sounds like you have a date?

Risa quickly turn to her right to find Isane was sitting beside her with his novel in hand. She didn’t even realize when did Isane come and sit beside her.But for sure,he heard everything about her conversation  with Senri.

Isane : Your boyfriend?

Risa : Friend.

Isane : Sounds like an oldfriend to me.

Risa : You have sharp senses.

Isane : Thank you (smiles)

Risa : I didn’t realize you were here.

Isane : Im sorry if I have surprised you but I didn’t want to interrupt your phone call (smiles)

Risa’s heart never failed to skip a beat whenever Isane smiles at her. Even his presence around her could make her heart goes crazy she thought.

Isane : Mind if I join you?

Risa : The bench is all yours.

Isane placed his novel beside him before turning his head to look at the buildings infront of him.

Isane : What do you like about Tokyo, Risa?

Risa : What?(confused)

Isane : Tokyo,what do you like about this place?

Risa look at Isane as if he asked a question in a language she cant understand.Her brain is not even working at all that time.All she can think of is,nothing.

Isane : (laughing)

Risa : (thinking)

Isane : Risa,you are funny.

Risa : I get that a lot.

ISane : Well,this time.Its an honest compliment.

Risa: What do you like about Tokyo?

Isane : I like it a lot,because its like a fast-paced movie.People move from one place to another in  a blink of an eye. Its like the reflection of our lives,don’t you think?

Risa : (looking at Isane with a blank face)

Isane : Something tells me that you are somehow different than what Kaname told me about.

Risa : What did he say about me?(annoyed)

Isane : “Plain,boring and just empty”

Risa : That old man .

Isane : Tell me about you Risa.I find you to be so mysterious in a way nobody can actually read you.

Risa : I guess I prefer myself to be that way.

Isane : Mysterious?

Risa : Anything you may call me.

Isane : I may be some sort a bit like you.I don’t really let people in.

Risa : And why is that?

Isane : Some people would just take you for granted.

Risa : …

Isane : And some would just let everyone in,yet not appreciating any of them.Some people don’t,but when they let somebody in,they would do anything to make the person stay.

Risa : And not everyone can do that.

Isane : Exactly.

Risa : If you let a person in,you have to be prepared. Not everyone can appreciate the chances they are given anyway. Some would just ditch you and find a replacement.

Isane look at Risa without even saying anything.

Risa : Did I say something wrong?

Isane : No no,its just that I understand now why Karin likes you.

Risa : …what?

Isane : You are what we call a beauty with brain.

Risa : Are you complementing me,Isane?

Isane  : Well,if you allow me to complement you,I’ll do it all the time(laughing)

Risa : (smiles)

Isane : How is everything? Is Kaname treating you well?

Risa : More like is he even behaving like a human I think.

Isane : Kaname is just being Kaname all the time.He’s always hard on people.

Risa : And annoying to be precise.

Isane : (laughing)
